Join the lab

TIDES Lab works with CSULB undergraduate and MS students who want to do careful, reproducible research in security and machine learning.

What to expect

New students start with a small, well-defined task, such as reproducing a result, building a benchmark, or implementing a protocol, and take on more as they show reliable, well-documented work. Strong projects lead to co-authored papers.

Useful background includes Python, machine learning, networking, or cryptography coursework. You do not need all of these.

Express interest

The form asks for your CV or GitHub, the research direction that interests you, relevant coursework, and your availability. Submitting it does not guarantee a position.
